Our festival continues with a tribute to Steven Peck. Although Mr. Peck worked in Hollywood for over 3 decades, he will probably be most remembered in Fullerton as the proprietor of Angelo's and Vinci's Ristorante. Once housed on the back stage of the Fox Fullerton Theatre, Angelo's and Vinci's received numerous awards for the best pizza in Orange County. A noted dancer, choreographer, and actor, Steven Peck operated a dance studio and repertory company in part of the Fox Fullerton Theatre complex before opening Angelo's and Vinci's. We are pleased to present Mr. Peck on screen in a film nominated for 5 Academy Awards.

Saturday, a full day of movies, begins with a touching family film about the hardships of a young Uruguayan street boy who experiences the magic of Carnival.

The day continues with the beginning of our exploration of Decades: Under the Influence with presentation of one key feature from the 60s and 70s. Today also is your opportunity to see several compelling films from smaller, independent filmmakers. Such films are rarely available to view on big screens in public theatres.

We end the day with a classic film noir restored to the director’s original intent. Orson Welles’ A Touch of Evil was re-edited before its original release at the direction of studio heads who could not understand the genius of the Welles’ work. Unfortunately, Welles did not live to see his film the way he intended it.

  • Touch Of Evil: Original Restored Version
  • The Unseen
  • The Actress
  • In Memory Of My Father
  • Homeland: Four Portraits Of Native Action
  • Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?
  • Find Love
  • Colma: The Musical
  • Bunny
  • Annie Hall
  • A Dios Momo

Decades: Under the Influence looks at one key film from the 80s, 90s and this decade. All are comedies, ranging from a dark inside look at Hollywood to our love affair with dogs more regal than the family pet.

Movies by Orange County filmmakers, from a student to established artists, are on view midday.

A series of Spanish language films (with English subtitles) is being presented in partnership with the Orange County Latino Film Festival.

Also look for movies on the immigration experiences of many cultures and across generations.
